Washi Collection: Mitsumata Japanese Paper Assortment

This assortment of Japanese mitsumata fiber papers includes seven different papers of varying weights and tones. Each sheet is approximately 8.5” x 11”.

The package includes a master sample sheet and a description of each paper.

Mitsumata is considered to be softer and more pliable than kozo and takes twice as long as kozo to grow. It works absorbs colour beautifully. The natural warm tone enhances rather than detracts from applied colour. Mitsumata is an elegant choice for drawing and printmaking - from bold relief to delicate chine colle.
