· made in Touwa, Kochi prefecture by a 3rd generation papermaker

· fibre is river cleaned and bleached (sunlight), cooked in lime, hand beaten, aogiri formation aid, small amount of rice powder added, dried on wooden boards (itaboshi)

Senka refers to method of making thick, strong double-sided paper from two sheets, one made on a kaya su, one on a take su and laminated while still wet

Tokawa Senka is produced in Touwa, Kochi prefecture by a 3rd generation papermaker

• kozo fiber is river cleaned and bleached (sunlight), cooked in lime, the fiber is beaten by hand, the formation aid is aogiri, and a small amount of rice powder added

• double-sided sheet dried on wooden boards (itaboshi)
