• white bark kozo cooked in soda ash and dried on stainless steel
• small format lends itself to working in series
• excellent for drawing, painting, calligraphy and printmaking
Made with Chinese kozo in Niigata, in a size similar to labels for high-end sake (rice wine), this sweet piece of washi with its soft deckles is a perfect paper for prints - relief or silkscreen - or small pastel or graphite drawings. Heavier than most, it is made in a method closer to western paper but with Japanese tools and typical fiber. Beautiful surface and warm natural color.
