Masa is a machine-made paper produced in Japan. It is inexpensive student quality paper. Good for working out ideas and preliminary sketches as well as large scale projects when budget is a main concern. One side is very smooth and one has a soft tooth. The soft side is perfect for printmakers proofs as it has the feel of better quality Japanese papers. Very bright white.
