This pattern is the winner of the first CHIYOGAMI DESIGN COMPETITION! Designed in Canada by Lauren Mead and EXCLUSIVE to Japanese Paper Place retailers.

Luscious, vibrantly-colored Chiyogami papers are hand-printed using an extremely accurate silk-screen technique. In this laborious process each color is applied using a separate screen. Sometimes as many as 12 colors, including gold or other metallics, may be used to create a single pattern.

Chiyogami is sourced from different studios, the full paper size may vary, but the patterned area is always 24Ó x 36Ó surrounded by an unprinted border on all sides.
