Kozuke Ivory Kozo Mix Japanese Paper

Kozuke is a machine-made Japanese paper made of a kozo / sulphite blend of fibers for strength (kozo) and affordability (sulphite). This paper is sized and works well for printmaking, calligraphy, monoprints, letterpress printing, drawing, mokuhanga (Japanese woodblock) and runs well through inkjet printers with good detail.

Kozuke is also available in white and in 65g weight.

This paper has a companion paper called Tatami which has a straw inclusion but performs the same as Kozuke

Cooked with caustic soda, internal sizing / Dyed ivory color

This mid weight Japanese paper has light internal sizing making it versatile for calligraphy, drawing, book arts, origami, printmaking, brush painting, watercolor and more. It takes wet media well and can be used for marbling and paste papers as well as monoprints.
